Parts of the national capital will face disruption in water supply on Tuesday and Wednesday due to maintenance works, the Delhi Jal Board said.
New Delhi: Parts of the national capital will face disruption in water supply on Tuesday and Wednesday due to maintenance works, the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) said. The DJB made the announcement on X on Monday.
In a post on X, the DJB informed that the water cuts will be in place due to a major repair work in 1100 mm dia.
"WATER ALERT!! Due to major repair work in 1100 mm dia. Header line feeding to 1100 mm dia West Delhi Main and 1200 mm dia Pitampura Main inside plant premises of Water Treatment Plant Haiderpur Ph-I, the water supply in the following areas shall not be available or at low pressure from the morning of 01.10.2024 (10:00 AM) to morning of 02.10.2024 (02:00 AM) i.e. 16 Hrs(sic)," the DJB tweeted.
Affected Areas
Several areas of Delhi will get impacted by the waters cuts. The areas include Varun Niketan, Raja Garden, Ramesh Nagar, Khyala (Command area of Khyala BPS, PH-I), Rani Bagh, Moti Nagar, Sharda Puri, Tagore Garden, Tihar Village, Tilak Nagar, Rajouri Garden, Hari Nagar & its adjoining area, Vishnu Garden, Subhash Nagar, J.J. Colony Khyala, Ravi Nagar & Chand Nagar and adjoining areas.
The DJB said the residents can access the water tankers in case of emergency. The water board issued a helpline number for the same purpose.
