Mumbai: Satish Salian, the father of Disha Salian has approached the court demanding custodial interrogation of UBT leader Aaditya Thackeray in the death case of her daughter.
In an exclusive interview with Republic Media Network’s Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami, Satish Salian raised questions over her daughter’s postmortem. He claimed that his daughter had not committed suicide but was murdered.
“How can this be possible that no injuries were found on the head and face when a body fell from the 13th floor?” asked Satish Salian.
Giving brief details about the plea, Advocate Nilesh Ojha, petitioner in the Disha Salian death case, said that an FIR must be registered based on the complaint filed by advocate Rashid Khan Pathan against Aaditya Thackeray.
“In our prayer in the petition we have mentioned that after the registration of FIR, there should be a custodial interrogation. Then maximum punishment which is the death penalty should be handed out to the accused,” Advocate Ojha said.
“We will deliver evidence in a sealed envelope to the High court…In our petition we have mentioned the connection between Rhea Chakraborty and Aaditya Thackeray in the Disha Salian murder case with most available possible evidence,” he added.
Advocate Ojha also asserted that no blood stains or injury marks were found on the body of Disha Salian following the postmortem.
“Disha's father's ground has remained unchanged from the very beginning, that is there are no blood stains at the scene, despite the fact that a woman fell from the 14th floor. There was no blood stain on the clothes. The body that was handed over to her father after the post-mortem had no injury marks that would typically be found on someone who has fallen from such a height,” Nilesh Ojha said.
Disha Salian, the former manager of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, was found dead in 2020.
Disha's body was discovered on June 8, 2020, just days before Sushant was found hanging in his apartment in Bandra, Mumbai.
In response to the incident, the Mumbai Police set up a three-member special investigation team (SIT) to look into Disha Salian's death. The police initially registered the case as an accidental death.
