Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station to Get Metro-Desk, NCRTC’s First Co-Working Spaces

Ghaziabad: The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is set to introduce Metro-Desk, a co-working space at the Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station, marking its first-ever business-friendly hub within the Namo Bharat network, an official statement said on Saturday.

A First-of-Its-Kind Co-Working Model

This unique initiative aims to transform transit spaces into productive business hubs. Designed for professionals, entrepreneurs, and small businesses, the Metro-Desk will be located in the station’s concourse area, providing state-of-the-art office amenities.

The facility will feature:

• 42 open workstations
• 11 private cabins
• Two meeting rooms
• High-speed internet
• Plug-and-play workstations
• Modern amenities for seamless productivity

With the capacity to accommodate 42 individuals and 11 companies at a time, the Metro-Desk will serve as a convenient workspace for professionals in Ghaziabad and nearby areas.

Strategic Location for Accessibility

The Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station, situated at Meerut Tiraha Mor, stands at a key intersection on the Ghaziabad-Meerut route. It also benefits from its proximity to the Shahid Sthal Delhi Metro Station, making it a highly accessible location for businesses and daily commuters.

“The heavy footfall in this area makes it an ideal location for a co-working space, reducing commute time and offering easy accessibility for professionals,” the official statement said.

Commercial Expansion Along Namo Bharat Stations

The NCRTC has also planned to allocate commercial spaces within and around Namo Bharat stations to enhance passenger amenities and generate non-fare revenue.

Currently, Namo Bharat operates on a 55-km stretch from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South, covering eleven stations. The full 82-km corridor, including the Meerut Metro, is expected to be completed by 2025, the statement added.

With the launch of Metro-Desk, the Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station is set to become a pioneer in blending public transit with co-working solutions, making daily commutes more productive and business-friendly.
