Good News For Farmers! Permanent Power Supply At Just Rs 5 in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: In a major relief for farmers, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on Sunday that the government will be provided with permanent power connections for just Rs 5.

Addressing farmers at a public gathering in Bhopal, CM Yadav said the Madhya Pradesh Central Power Distribution Company will roll out the scheme soon.

Power Connection at Just Rupee 5

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said, “Farmers who don't have a permanent power connection will be given the facility for Rs 5.”

"We want to do good for cultivators and better their lives," he added.

The chief minister said the Madhya Pradesh government wants to rid electricity-related hassles for farmers with solar pumps for irrigation.

CM Yadav Promises 30 Lakh Solar irrigation pumps to Framers

MP CM Yadav promised that in coming 3 years, 30 lakh solar irrigation pumps will be provided to farmers.

"Over the next three years, 30 lakh solar irrigation pumps will be provided to farmers," he said.

CM Yadav added that the government will purchase solar energy from farmers.

He claimed villages did not have proper infrastructure, electricity and roads when Congress was in power, but the situation has improved under the BJP regime.

So far this financial year, Madhya Pradesh Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Limited (MPPKVVCL) has provided temporary electricity connections to nearly 1 lakh farmers in remote areas to support their agricultural activities.
