In a shocking incident, a man got killed while attempting to save his sister from her husband’s knife attack on Friday, police said.
Rajkot: In a shocking incident, a 36-year-old man got killed while attempting to save his sister from her husband’s knife attack on Friday, police said.
The accused has been identified as Naresh (30).
According to police, a marital dispute led to the murder of the victim who stepped in to protect his sister when her estranged husband attempted to attack her in Porbandar town.
Man Kills Wife's Brother In Knife Attack
Naresh's wife, Shobhna, had been living with her parents and brother for the past two years due to ongoing harassment from him, according to police.
According to the complainant, the accused's wife was shouting for help after which the deceased Nitin intervened leading to a scuffle with the accused. Nitin was taken to a govt hospital in Porbandar where he died during treatment.
Police said that the knife used in the incident has been recovered.
A case has been registered a case in the matter and further investigation is underway, officials said.
Earlier, a 50-year-old ragpicker from Deesa in Banaskantha was arrested for allegedly killing a man simply because he disliked the sound of his voice during a conversation on August 18. Police have stated that this isn’t Ishwar Majirana’s first murder; he reportedly suffers from misophonia, a disorder characterized by an intolerance to certain sounds.
