Father Fire 5 Times, Shoots Dead Daughter And State-Level Tennis Player At Posh Gurugram Residence

Gurugram: A gruesome case has surfaced from Gurugram, where a father shot and killed his daughter, a state-level tennis player Radhika Yadav, in posh society Sushant Lok Phase 2.

According to reports, Radhika Yadav was a prominent athlete in the region. Her father, identified as Deepak Yadav, allegedly fired at least five rounds at her, three of which struck and fatally injured her.

He has since been detained, though the motive behind the crime remains unclear. The weapon used in the attack has also been recovered.

The incident occurred inside their residence located in G Block, Sushant Lok Phase 2.

The 25-year-old tennis player was shot on the back while cooking and died on the spot. Her mother, as per reports, was present at the ground floor when the crime took place on the first floor.

Radhika's father, 49-year-old Deepak Yadav, has been arrested and police have recovered a .32 bore licensed pistol. However, the reason for this brutal crime is not clear yet.

The police are questioning the family members and initiated a probe, informed Sector 56 police station.

Sushant Lok-Phase 2 is located in Sector 57. The father, police said, is a resident of Wazirabad village.

Radhika was known not only for her sporting achievements but also for her contribution to tennis through the academy she ran to train aspiring players.
