Holi Travel Deals: Airlines Offer Discounted Fares Starting at Rs 1,199

Kolkata: Ahead of Holi celebrations, major airline companies offered discounted fares for domestic and international travel, making holiday getaways more affordable for passengers. The special offers, announced by Akasa Air, IndiGo, and Air India Express, included low-cost tickets, discounted seat selection, and reduced baggage charges.

Akasa Air Announced Special Holi Discounts

Akasa Air introduced all-inclusive one-way fares starting at Rs 1,499 on its domestic routes. The airline also launched saver and flexi fares across all its domestic and international networks.

Additionally, Akasa Air offered a special promo code "HOLI15" for international bookings, giving passengers a 15% discount on seat selection for both domestic and international flights. The airline confirmed that these offers were valid from March 10 to March 13, with the travel period starting from March 17.

IndiGo Launched ‘Holi Getaway Sale’

IndiGo also joined the festive sales by launching its "Holi Getaway Sale," offering customers discounted fares on all flight bookings. The airline announced that during the offer period:

• One-way domestic fares started at Rs 1,199, while international fares started at Rs 4,199.
• Discounts of up to 20% were offered on pre-paid excess baggage (15kg, 20kg, 30kg) for both domestic and international flights.
• Passengers could avail of up to 35% off on standard seat selection and a flat 10% discount on pre-booked meals.
• An additional 5% discount was available for bookings made through IndiGo’s website or mobile app.

The airline confirmed that these discounted fares were available from March 10 to March 12, for travel between March 17 and September 21.

Air India Express Announced ‘Holi Flash Sale’

Air India Express, a subsidiary of Air India, also rolled out its "Holi Flash Sale" with fares starting from Rs 1,499 for domestic flights. The airline introduced exclusive Xpress Lite fares from Rs 1,330, along with zero convenience fees for members booking via the airline's official website.

The sale remained open for domestic bookings until March 12, with travel dates ranging from March 17 to March 25.

The airline, which recently inducted its 100th aircraft, announced plans to operate over 500 daily flights across 55 destinations, including India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, by March 2025.

Holi Discounts to Boost Festive Travel

The Holi travel offers aimed to encourage more passengers to book flights at lower fares. With multiple airlines competing to attract travelers, festive air travel became more affordable, giving passengers a chance to plan budget-friendly trips.
