IMD Predicts Moderate Rainfall For Delhi On Tuesday, Yellow Alert Issued
IMD has predicted a moderate to light rainfall for Tuesday. The weather department has issued a yellow alert in this regard.
New Delhi: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a moderate to light rainfall for Tuesday. The weather department has issued a yellow alert in this regard.
Parts of Delhi saw light to very light rain on Monday.
"The yellow alert asks people to stay aware. It has been issued for moderate to light rain on Tuesday, along with thunderstorms and a generally cloudy sky. Tuesday may see winds reaching up to 40 kmph," an official said.
What is Yellow Alert?
Yellow weather warning indicates severely bad weather spanning across several days.
Earlier on August 24, various temples on the Ram Ghat, situated on the banks of Shipra River, submerged after the water level of the river rose following continuous rainfall in Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain district.As a precaution, the district administration has installed barricades on the roads leading to the river ghats so that there shouldn't be any incidents. Earlier on August 23, severe waterlogging and massive traffic congestion were witnessed in several parts of Delhi after spells of heavy rain lashed the capital city.
