He emphasised that while India is home to 17% of the world’s population, its carbon emissions account for less than 4% of the global total. This statement serves to highlight India's commitment to sustainability amidst growing concerns about climate change.
Modi explained how India was going ahead on a path to growth but chose instead to focus on renewable energy sources.
PM Modi pointed India's traditional reverence for nature as a driving force behind its green energy initiatives, including investments in solar, wind, hydro, green hydrogen, and nuclear energy. This commitment not only positions India as a leader in the fight against climate change but also aims to create a multitude of green jobs, contributing to both the economy and the environment.

Modi stated, "Our carbon emission is almost negligible," reinforcing the message that India's development model prioritises sustainability.
The Prime Minister also discussed India’s impressive strides in digital technology, noting that while many Indian-Americans carry wallets filled with cash, millions in India use digital wallets, showcasing the country’s rapid technological advancement. He expressed a vision for India to maximise the production of mobile devices using “Made in India” chips, further emphasising self-reliance and innovation.

Modi also touched on advancements in India’s education sector, inviting students from around the globe to study in India, a nation that has significantly expanded its educational institutions. This expansion is part of a broader goal to enhance India’s global standing and influence in education.
Through these remarks, Modi articulated a vision of India as a responsible global player, committed to environmental sustainability and technological advancement, while asserting that the country does not contribute to global destruction, contrasting it with the practices of more industrialised nations.
