JJP leader Ravinder Minna Shot Dead By Unidentified Assailants In Haryana's Panipat

Panipat: A Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) leader, Ravinder Minna, was shot dead in Panipat on Friday by unidentified assailants, police said.

The crime occurred in Panipat’s Vikas Nagar, where two other individuals were also injured, according to the authorities.

The assailants managed to flee the scene, and a manhunt is currently underway to apprehend them.

In a statement, Panipat’s Sector 29 SHO, Subash, confirmed that JJP leader Ravinder Minna had been shot dead, adding that further investigation into the case is underway.

Congress worker found dead in Haryana

Earlier this month, Congress worker Himani Narwal, an emerging youth leader, was found dead inside a suitcase near the Sampla bus stand on the Rohtak-Delhi highway in Haryana. Himani Narwal, a 23-year-old Congress worker from Sonepat, was brutally killed on March 1.

The Congress worker was a rising figure in the Grand Old Party, having participated in high-profile political events, including the Haryana elections. 

She was a member of the Youth Congress and had been seen alongside Rahul Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

Himani’s family refused to perform the last rites, alleging that party insiders were involved in her murder, as some individuals were reportedly envious of her progress.

Himani Narwal was emerging as a key player in the party’s youth wing due to her proactive involvement with senior Congress leaders, including Bhupinder Hooda and Deepinder Hooda.

Himani's mother demanded justice, stating that her daughter had risked life by pursuing clean politics. Her brother, Jatin, echoed their mother’s allegations, claiming that certain individuals were unhappy with Himani’s rapid rise.

Her murder sparked widespread outrage, prompting Congress MLA from Rohtak, BB Batra, to call for a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the crime.

According to reports, Himani, whose body was found stuffed in a suitcase, was strangled to death and dumped on the roadside.

Haryana Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda had expressed his condolences and demanded an impartial high-level probe into the incident.
