Joint security forces described the operation as a proactive measure to maintain peace in the J&K.
"The successful operation reveals our commitment to thwarting any attempts to disrupt the prevailing peace. Such recoveries indicate persistent efforts by anti-national elements to create unrest. Our joint security forces remain vigilant and prepared to counter any threats," said a security official.
The identities of the suspects have not been disclosed, as investigations are ongoing to determine their affiliations and intentions.
Authorities have urged the public to remain alert and report any suspicious activities to help maintain stability in the valley.
Meanwhile, in February, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha chaired a high-level security meeting in Srinagar to review the overall security scenario in the Kashmir Division. Emphasizing a "360-degree approach" to counterterrorism, he stressed the need to enhance security capabilities and performance across all domains.
L-G directed law enforcement agencies to strictly enforce the policy of property attachment in cases linked to terror and narco-terrorism.
He also called for a result-oriented strategy to neutralize foreign terrorists active in the Valley and dismantle the terror ecosystem supporting adversarial forces.
The meeting also addressed challenges related to disinformation and propaganda.
"Strict action must be taken against elements exploiting cyberspace for disruptive activities and misinformation campaigns. We must aggressively counter fundamentalist and extremist ideas and take legal action as necessary," Sinha stated.
