Juvenile Damages Window Panes of Express Train In Bihar’s Madhubani, Held

Madhubani: A juvenile has been apprehended for allegedly damaging the window panes of Swatantrata Senani Express in Madhubani, police said on Thursday. 

Railway Protection Force said that juvenile and other miscreants tried to damage the window panes of AC coaches and tried to take advantage of the fact that there was no RPF post in Madhubani. 

Miscreants fled after damaging railway property, an official statement said.

Following the incident, a juvenile was apprehended after the identification. 

A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway, police said.

Meanwhile, in a tragic incident, a woman loco pilot was mowed down by a speeding train in West Bengal's Malda division on Friday. 

The deceased has been identified as Maharani Kumari.

According to officials, the incident occured when victim was crossing the track to return to the engine after a 'washroom break'.

"At 6:40 in the evening, assistant Maharani told loco pilot SK Mandal that she was going for a washroom break in the station building. She crossed a couple of tracks to reach the washroom to answer nature's call,” a loco pilot said.

A case has been registered in the matter, officials said.
