Bengaluru: In the wake of 'honey-trap' allegations made by Karnataka Minister KN Rajanna, his son and Congress MLC Rajendra Rajanna said on Monday that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had been informed about state legislators falling victim to such schemes.

Rajendra Rajanna further said that it was Siddaramaiah who had suggested raising the issue in the public domain.

“I met the Chief Minister and told him about everything. He also got tense and asked me to raise the complaint. I will submit a complaint to the DGP in two days. I shared everything with the Chief Minister,” Rajendra Rajanna told Republic.

MLC Rajanna further said that he will meet the top leadership of the Congress and will apprise them of the honey-trap events happening in the state.

“I will meet the High command this week and will tell them so things are going behind the scenes,” Congress MLC said.

Earlier Karnataka Minister KN Rajanna said that he had fallen prey to a honey-trap scheme along with nearly 50 other politicians.

"Many people say Karnataka has become a CD and pen drive factory. This is a serious allegation. It is being said that an influential minister from Tumakuru has been caught in a honey trap. The ones from Tumakuru are G Parameshwara and me," Rajanna said in the Legislative Assembly.

"There are pen drives of 48 individuals from two parties. This is a dangerous menace. This is now a public issue. They attempted it on me too. I have evidence. I will file a complaint. Let it be revealed who is involved," he added.

The minister also claimed that those involved in making CDs and pen drives had honey-trapped 48 people across different political parties.
