Kolkata: In a shocking incident, a 40-year-old man, his 35-year-old wife, and their 2.5-year-old son were found dead in their home in the Kasba area of south Kolkata on Tuesday.
According to police, Somnath Rai, an autorickshaw driver, his wife Sumitra Rai, and their son were found dead in their home. The couple had scribbled a note on the wall blaming two relatives for their death.
Firstly, Somnath hanged his two-and-a-half-year-old son and then tied himself with his dead body. Seeing both of them hanging from the noose, Sumitra also hanged herself.
Sumitra's family members claimed that the couple killed the child and committed suicide because of a property dispute. Both of them wrote a suicide note on the wall of the house in which the property dispute was mentioned.
