'License Accorded To Separatists': India on Jaishankar’s Security Breach in UK
MEA highlights Jaishankar's security breach as part of a larger issue, accusing UK of giving "license" to separatists that obstruct India's diplomatic efforts.

New Delhi: Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has expressed serious concerns regarding the security breach during External Affairs Minister (EAM) S. Jaishankar 's visit to London, United Kingdom.
MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stressed on the security breach that it highlights a larger issue, namely, the apparent "license accorded to such forces" and the UK’s indifference toward their actions, which include intimidation, threats, and attempts to obstruct India's diplomatic efforts.
MEA Raises Concern Over EAM's Security Breach
Randhir Jaiswal addressed the issue, said that UK-based pro-Khalistani separatist and extremist elements had disrupted the security arrangements surrounding the Jaishankar’s visit. "We have conveyed our deep concern to the UK authorities about the breach of security by these elements," Jaiswal remarked.

MEA Spokesperson said that "While we have noted the statement issued by the UK Foreign Office on the matter, our view of its sincerity would depend on the action taken against culprits on this and previous occasions."
India Summons UK Chargé D’ Affaires
Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday summoned the British chargé d’affaires to lodge a protest against the breach of Jaishankar’s security by pro-Khalistan supporters in London.

Earlier, India also condemned “provocative activities" and attempt made by Khalistani protesters to heckle EAM Jaishankar when he was leaving the Chatham House in London.
