LPG Cylinder Price Cut by Rs 30: Check New Rates in Your City

The prices of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders have been slashed by Rs 30 per cylinder, effective from Monday (July 1)

New Delhi: The prices of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders have been slashed by Rs 30 per cylinder, effective from Monday (July 1). As a result of the revision, the new price of a 19 kg cylinder in Delhi is Rs 1,646, down from the previous Rs 1,676.

In Mumbai, the cost of a 19 kg cylinder is now Rs 1,598, while in Kolkata, it is Rs 1,756. Following the latest price revision, a 19 kg LPG cylinder in Kolkata now retails for Rs 1,809.50.

However, there has been no change in the prices of 14.2 kg LPG cylinders, commonly used in households. Domestic cooking cylinders remain priced at Rs 803 in Delhi, Rs 829 in Kolkata, Rs 818.50 in Chennai, and Rs 802.50 in Mumbai.

State-owned oil marketing companies such as Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) revise the prices of cooking gas on the first day of every month, based on the average price of benchmark international fuel and the prevailing foreign exchange rate.

Earlier on June 1, 2024, oil marketing companies decreased the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 69 per cylinder. This latest reduction marks the fourth consecutive monthly price cut. Previously, on May 1, the price was reduced by Rs 19 per cylinder, and on April 1, 2024, there was a reduction of Rs 30.5 per cylinder.
