Man Forced to Strip, Chased on Busy Bengaluru Road; Suspect Arrested After Video Goes Viral

Bengaluru: In what appears to be a case of personal rivalry, the Bengaluru police suo motu initiated a probe after a video showing a rowdy sheeter forcing a man to strip, then assault on busy road, surfaced on social media.

According to media reports, the incident took place over 10 days ago but came to light recently. The entire act was recorded on camera. The disturbing footage has now gone viral.

Reports suggest that the suspect has been identified as Pawan Gowda alias Kadubu. Meanwhile, the victim, who was assaulted, also has a criminal record. The area where the incident was reported is one of the prime areas of the city. Subsequently, the suspect was arrested.

In the viral video, the victim can be seen disrobing himself upon being asked to. He was made to walk on Bengaluru roads naked. The incident has raised serious concerns over the law and order situation in the city.

It s learnt that  the victim did not file any complaint until Monday. Thereafter, the police decided to initiate a suo motu probe. Police suspect that the motive behind the assault could be personal.
