New Delhi: A man was shot multiple times to death in broad daylight in Delhi's Geeta Colony area on Saturday leading to a panic-like situation in the area. The violent shooting incident occurred in the Rani Garden area of Delhi's Shahdara district. Immediately after the firing incident, the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.

On information, the Geeta Colony police reached the spot and collected the evidence. A case has been registered in the murder incident and a probe has been initiated. The police are checking the CCTV cameras installed near the spot and efforts are being made to identify the murder accused. 

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) identified the deceased as Shahid alias Ashu (20), a resident of Rani Garden in Geeta Colony. He was shot at by the miscreants, while he was doing a whitewash in his shop at around 5.49 pm on Saturday. 

According to police sources, the shooting took place in a busy area, causing panic among residents. The police have launched an investigation into the incident and are working to determine the motive behind the attack and identify the assailants. The police are also trying to identify the deceased.
