Meerut: The brutal murder of ex-merchant navy officer Saurabh Rajput allegedly by his wife, Muskan Rastogi and her lover in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh has taken a dark turn, with UP police sharing chilling details of dark magic related to the accused (lover) Sahil Shukla. 

29-years-old Saurabh's body was found by the police, in a sealed cement drum. Both the accused, Muskan Rastogi (27) and her lover Sahil Shukla (27) has been arrested and an investigation is underway.

Chilling Details Emerge in Meerut Murder Mystery

  • Ayush Vikram Singh, superintendent of Police, Meerut city uncovered many information, including very disturbing details that were found in the room of accused Sahil Shukla, here are the seven chilling details:
  • Sahil Shukla's room was filled with devil graffiti, tantric symbols, and satanic drawings, suggesting his alleged deep obsession with black magic.
  • It is believed that Sahil was highly superstitious, and Muskaan exploited this to manipulate him. She created fake Snapchat accounts using her brother's phone, convincing Sahil that his deceased mother was speaking to him from the afterlife and wanted someone dead. Muskaan then made Sahil see Saurabh as an easy target.

  • Saurabh was allegedly drugged, stabbed ten times, and dismembered by his wife and her lover.
  • His body was initially hidden in a bathroom overnight before being sealed in a cement-filled drum for two weeks. After the crime, the accused duo went on a 12-day holiday to Shimla.
  • Officer Singh revealed that Saurabh had learned about Muskaan's affair with Sahil in 2021. Their landlord had informed him after spotting Muskaan and Sahil in an "objectionable" situation.
  • Images of Lord Shiva were also plastered across the walls. Beer cans, bidi stubs, and other items were scattered around, adding to the eerie atmosphere.
  • Muskaan claimed that Saurabh had Rs 6 lakh in his account, and out of fear that the money could be seized, he had transferred Rs 1 lakh to her account and about one and a half lakh to his mother's account. The officer said her claims are being verified.

The murder came to light after Muskaan and Sahil returned from Shimla. Their landlord had sent laborers to vacate the house, and when they inquired about the heavy drum, Muskaan claimed it was full of junk before leaving for her parents' house. However, a foul smell prompted the workers to suspect something was wrong, leading them to call the police.

Muskaan later confessed to her mother, who then reported the crime to the police.
