Meerut Murder Horror: Muskan Tricks Lover into Husband Saurabh's Murder by Posing as His Dead Mother on Snapchat

Meerut: The investigation in the bone-chilling murder of the Merchant Navy officer in UP's Meerut that shocked the country, continues to reveal horrific details. As per media reports, the accused, Muskan Rastogi had tricked her lover, Sahil Shukla into plotting her husband's murder. 

The wife of the deceased posed as her lover's dead mother and sent messages to him on a social media platform, convincing her to kill her husband.

Meerut Murder: Muskan Tricks Lover to Kill Her Husband, Poses As His Dead Mother

The chilling murder of Saurabh Rajput, was a very planned crime; as per a media report, the wife of the deceased, Muskan had been planning her husband's murder for the last four months. She had bought two knives beforehand ‘to cut chicken' and had also got sleeping pills from the doctor, pretending to have anxiety, to put her husband to sleep before murdering him. 

Another horrific detail that has emerged in the Merchant Navy officer murder case, was that the officer's wife who had been plotting to kill her husband for a very long time, had put in a lot of effort to convince her lover, to commit the crime with her. As per the report, Muskan created an account on the social media platform Snapchat, and sent messages to her lover, posing as his dead mother.

The account was neither in her name nor in his dead mother's name, but her messages were sent in such a way that he believed that his dead mother had reincarnated and was messaging him. 

Was Saurabh Rajput Murdered In Front of His Daughter?

According to the mother of the murdered Merchant Navy officer, the neighbours told her that Saurabh's daughter was telling them, “Papa has been kept in the drum”. This could hint at the possibility of the crime being committed in front of the young daughter; she may have seen it happening before her.

Merchant Navy Officer Murder: What We Know So Far

A Merchant Navy officer in Meerut, who had recently come back from the United Kingdom (UK), was brutally murdered by his wife and lover, in his sleep. After committing the heinous crime, the wife and her lover then cut the body into several pieces and hid them in a cement drum.

The two accused then tried to avoid suspicion by lying to the neighbours that Muskan is on a trip with her husband, while she actually was on a trip with her lover. Muskan kept posting photographs and videos on social media, via her husband's account so that there was no suspicion.

However, on returning, when they were vacating the room, a labourer was removing the cement drum and questioned why it was so heavy; the drum was uncovered and he smelt something foul and immediately informed the police.

The accused's mother, in a statement, has said that her daughter was wrong and that she should be hanged to death, along with her lover; in her words, “Humari beti hi badtameez hai…” (our daughter is impudent). 

An investigation is underway, the two accused have been arrested and questioning is underway.
