Men or Women: Who Did God Create First and Why? Dimple Yadav's Answer Goes Viral | WATCH

New Delhi: Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav’s wife, Dimple Yadav, made a comment about men during a public event. Speaking at a Women’s Honour Ceremony in Lucknow, Dimple joked, “God must have created men first because mistakes happen the first time.” 

Her remark, made in jest, was accompanied by a serious note on gender inequality. She stressed that “men's dreams” are often valued more than those of women.

Husband Akhilesh Yadav Responds 

Akhilesh Yadav, responding to his wife’s comments, said, “Dimple has sparked a debate on who came first to the earth.” “When Lord Shri Krishna left the earth, the Kaliyug began,” Yadav said, adding that “We cannot forget Savitribai Phule. I see half the population moving forward, and the Samajwadi Party stands firmly with them.”

Akhilesh further said that SP-led initiatives like laptop distribution had benefited women the most, with the highest number of recipients being female. On the 1090 women’s helpline launched by the Samajwadi Party, he stressed that it was more than just a helpline it became a platform for empowering women. 

He also recalled attempts to rename the 1090 intersection, noting, “Despite efforts to change its name, it is still known as 1090.”Addressing the issue of women’s safety, Akhilesh remarked that data from the 1090 helpline showed that most women were harassed by people they knew. 

He also criticized the state government’s approach to tackling such problems, stating, “The solution is not encounters. Women’s problems cannot be solved this way. The situation for women in Uttar Pradesh remains dire.”
