New Delhi: After the gruesome and cold-blooded murder of Merchant Navy Officer Saurabh Rajput, his wife, Muskan Rastogi, and her lover reportedly travelled to Himachal Pradesh , where they celebrated Holi together.
A cab driver, Ajab Singh, has come forward with details of how he unknowingly drove two killers, Muskan and Shahil, across Himachal Pradesh. Muskan Rastogi and Shahil both colluded on killing of Merchant Navy officer and Muskan's husband Saurabh Rajput on March 4 - the same day they left for Kasol.
According to Singh, the duo hired his cab (UP37 AT 4662) on the evening of March 4 and left for the hills. They arrived in Kasol on March 5 at around 12:25 PM and stayed there for five days and celebrated Holi during their trip.
Singh recalled that Shahil would buy two bottles of alcohol daily, while Muskan preferred beer. Despite travelling together, the two barely spoke. Muskan only communicated with Shahil or her family through WhatsApp calls. During the journey, her mother called twice, but her behavior appeared normal.

“They seemed like regular tourists. Shahil would bring alcohol every day, and Muskan was on video calls with her mother. Inside the car, they hardly spoke. The girl mostly slept,” Singh said.
After their stay in Kasol, they moved to Kullu-Manali, where they spent another 4-5 days amid snowfall. On March 11, Muskan ordered a red velvet cake for Shahil’s birthday with fake name written on it. The cake had "Happy Birthday Shankar" written on it, revealing that Muskan referred to Shahil as ‘Shankar,’ while he called her ‘Parvati.’
The driver also mentioned that the duo paid him ₹1,200 via UPI for the trip. They attended a private party near Kasol, about three kilometers from their hotel. Since the venue was inaccessible by car, they asked the driver to drop them nearby.
Despite spending several days with them, Singh said he never suspected anything unusual. "There were no signs of panic, fear, or guilt. They behaved like any other tourists," he added.
