Mumbai Weather Update: The meteorological center has forecasted sunny weather for Mumbai on Sunday and Monday, with temperatures peaking around 36°C.
The weather department predicts a maximum temperature of approximately 36°C and a minimum of 23°C for both days. A slight drop in temperatures is expected on Monday, with the maximum reaching 35°C and the minimum around 22°C.
The report also highlighted that temperatures on Friday were above normal in several parts of the state. In the drought-prone Marathwada region, including Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, the temperature soared to 38.4°C on Saturday, 3.5°C higher than usual. The minimum temperature in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar was 21.6°C, 4°C above normal.
Solapur recorded the highest maximum temperature at 40.3°C, around 3°C above normal, with a minimum of 25.1°C, 3.6°C higher than typical.
In Mumbai, the Colaba observatory reported a maximum temperature of 33.3°C and a minimum of 23.8°C, with both figures slightly above normal. At the Santacruz observatory, the maximum temperature reached 35.1°C, which is 1.9°C above normal, while the minimum was 21.9°C, up by 1°C.
The meteorological department has advised residents to stay prepared for the continuing heatwave conditions.
