India has extended a new line of credit amounting to Rs 487.60 crore to the government of Mauritius for financing of a water pipeline replacement project, the Ministry of External Affairs said on Thursday. Delhi Police arrests three with heroin worth Rs 2.5 crore

Delhi Police has arrested three men and claimed to have busted an inter-state gang of drug suppliers, officials on Thursday said.Police recovered 625 grams of heroin and five 5 kg of cannabis, worth Rs 2.52 crore from their possession, they said. On September 30, police arrested Devender, who was allegedly involved in smuggling. Total 625 grams of heroin was allegedly recovered from his possession, a senior police officer said.

Coast Guard Conducts 'Sagar Kavach' Exercise Along Maharashtra and Goa Coast

The Indian Coast Guard in co-ordination with other agencies has undertaken an exercise along the coast of Goa and Maharashtra to protect the country's maritime interests and to test the agencies' collective response to security threats, officials said on Thursday. The two-day 'Sagar Kavach' coastal security drill began on Wednesday, the Coast Guard said in a release. Two people have died and two others are undergoing treatment after consuming spurious liquor in Brahimpur village under Masrakh police station of Saran district. A case has been registered and 8 accused have been taken into custody. An SIT has been constituted to arrest the accused involved in this case, to investigate other points: Saran Police

'Cavalier Behaviour': India Blasts Trudeau After His 'No Hard Proof' Admission in Nijjar Killing

After Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau admitted that his government had not provided “hard evidentiary proof” when accusing India of involvement in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that Trudeau "only confirms" what India has been saying “consistently all along”. The MEA also blamed Trudeau's "cavalier behaviour" for damaging relations between India and Canada.

Kolkata Medic Rape-murder: Resident Doctors in Delhi Protest Outside Banga Bhawan

Delhi resident doctors held a protest outside the Banga Bhawan here on Wednesday, holding posters and banners to demand swift justice for a trainee doctor at Kolkata's R G Kar Hospital who was raped and killed in August. The doctors held a protest around 6 pm, holding banners that read, "In service of others, she gave her life." The Resident Doctors' Association (RDA) of AIIMS, along with other Delhi RDAs, held a candlelight protest at Banga Bhawan, demanding justice for their colleague and extending support to protesting medics in Kolkata.

Gurugram to Get Smart Traffic Lights at 32 Key Junctions

The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) will install smart traffic lights, including pedestrian signal lights, at 32 junctions in sectors 58 to 115 of Gurugram, to ease traffic congestion, according to an official statement on Wednesday. The work was approved for allotment today in the Tender Allotment Committee meeting chaired by A Sreenivas, Chief Executive Officer, GMDA.
