In a shocking attack on Sunday evening, seven people including migrant workers were shot dead by terrorists in the Sonamarg area of Ganderbal district. The incident occurred near an under-construction tunnel, where the victims were working as part of a construction team.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is stepping in to investigate the terror attack, with teams expected to arrive at the site shortly to gather evidence and determine the motives behind this brutal act. Security forces swiftly cordoned off the area, initiating an immediate response to secure the location and conduct a thorough search.
Officials reported that the victims were involved in the construction of the Z Morh tunnel, aimed at connecting Gaganeer to Sonamarg in Central Kashmir. This tragic incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding the safety of migrant workers in the region, particularly in light of rising violence and targeted attacks.
