Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh High Court has dismissed a woman’s appeal against a family court order that allowed her husband’s divorce plea on the ground of cruelty against him.
The husband had levelled allegations against his wife that she was discussing their sex life with her male friends.
The bench observed that a married couple cannot indulge in undignified conversation with their friends after marriage.
“No husband would tolerate that his wife is in conversation through mobile by way of this type of vulgar chatting. After marriage husband and wife both have freedom to have a conversation by way of mobile, chatting and other means with friends but the level of conversation should be decent and dignified, specially when it is with an opposite gender, which may not be objectionable to the life partner,” High court observed.
The High Court also stated that a person will definitely face mental cruelty if their partner is involved in such activity.
The couple got married in 2018. The husband, who is partially deaf, had informed his wife about his condition prior to their marriage. However, the husband claimed that shortly after their wedding, the wife began mistreating his mother, and after about a month and a half, she left their matrimonial home.
Additionally, he alleged that she was in frequent contact with her former lovers on the phone, with their WhatsApp conversations being of an inappropriate nature.
