New Delhi: A day after announcing a historic budget of Rs 1 lakh crore for the national capital, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta initiated a step towards beautifying the city by inspecting the metro pillars on Wednesday. During her inspection, she issued an order that no posters or hoardings should be pasted on these pillars.

"Nobody has the right to damage government property. If we want a beautiful and clean Delhi, everyone's support is required here. No one should spoil government property. Metro pillars are the beauty of Delhi, and we should not paste posters and hoardings here," CM Gupta told ANI.

In addition to this, CM Gupta also stopped on her way to the Vidhan Sabha upon noticing cows on a flyover. Concerned for their safety, she directed relevant authorities to establish a designated area for these animals, ensuring they do not wander onto roads and risk being harmed.

On Tuesday, CM Gupta presented the Delhi budget for 2025-26, highlighting it as a landmark move to transform the city into a hub for investment and innovation. The Rs 1 lakh crore budget is expected to foster growth, improve quality of life, and bring about significant developments in key sectors such as education, transport, and urban infrastructure.
