New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s convoy was unexpectedly stopped on the Haiderpur Flyover on March 26 after a group of four to five stray cows suddenly appeared on the road. The incident, which briefly halted traffic, was captured on video and quickly went viral.
The CM’s convoy had to stop for about 15 minutes due to the cows blocking the way. Gupta, without hesitation, got out of her car and was seen walking on the flyover alongside other officials. In the video, she is seen personally directing officials to take action and prevent such incidents in the future. She also instructed them to find proper shelter for the stray cattle to avoid further disruptions.

This emergency halt occurred while CM Gupta was on her way back after visiting Shalimar Bagh.
Earlier that day, she had inspected newly inaugurated projects and interacted with locals to address their concerns. Among the issues raised by residents were non-functional water pumps, street lights, and clogged sewers.

Gupta, in a show of community engagement, also visited Ward 47 of Pitampura, where she was set to inaugurate a new water pump. However, instead of doing it herself, she asked senior citizens in the area to inaugurate it. The CM plans to visit six locations in total across her constituency.
During her inspection tour, she also addressed issues related to the Delhi Metro pillars, where she ordered the removal of illegal posters and hoardings. The CM expressed her disapproval, stating that such actions damage government property and hinder the beauty of Delhi. "We must work together to keep Delhi clean and beautiful. No one should spoil government property," she said.
