PM Tears Apart Congress for Pulling Down India and Aspirations of Indians
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has beautifully explained the drastic change that has been seen in India and the Indians, in terms of the mindset, expectations and development, in the past decade. Comparing the times when Congress was in power versus now, PM Modi has discussed the shift in attitude and temperament, from ‘chalta hai…’ to ‘karna hai’ - a massive change from complacency and shrugging responsibility to working towards development with a result-oriented approach.
Explaining by example, PM Modi said, “Today, India's attitude and temperament is different; the country thinks big, sets bigger targets and achieves bigger and better results.” Comparing it to the time when people's thought process was limited and they could only look at short-term growth, the Prime Minister said, “Earlier, the thinking had become so narrow, that people would make small demands like requesting for handpumps, MPs used to request for just 25 LPG coupons to distribute in their constituency for an entire year. But today, the demands have increased because the people and the opposition know that there are people who can deliver results.”

PM Modi on India's Exponential Growth Across All Sectors
During his powerful address at the Republic Plenary Summit, PM Modi spoke about the various sectors, where India has been growing exponentially and has also been setting an example for the world, including the economy, renewable energy, reduction in poverty, infrastructure, healthcare, and export.
Talking about the country's massive economic progress and its rise from the eleventh to the third largest economy in the world, PM Modi said, “The India about which it was once said that it will sink itself and take us down with it, that India is today driving the growth of the world.” The Prime Minister highlighted how the country was only the eleventh-largest economy after 65 years of independence but in just ten years, it became the fifth-largest and is now on the path to become the third-largest economy in the world.
Speaking on the steady journey to eradicate poverty from India, PM Modi highlighted that in the past decade, 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty—surpassing the population of many nations. He compared this achievement to the inefficiencies of previous administrations, reminiscing about an era when a significant portion of government welfare funds were misappropriated before reaching the intended recipients.
On India's rise in renewable energy, he said that ten years ago, India was nowhere in the world in terms of solar energy, but now India is among the top five countries in solar energy capacity. India's growth in infrastructure and healthcare has also been increasing continuously, with airports being doubled, and operational AIIMS hospitals have tripled.
Prime Minister Modi wrapped up by emphasizing that India's ambitions are growing, and its accomplishments are shaping the path toward a more robust and self-sufficient nation. He attributed this progress to governance driven by effective policies, technological innovations, and a strong focus on nation-building.
