New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi , in a podcast with American podcaster Lex Fridman, shared how his journey of 2 years in the Himalayas was completely different and "new experience". PM Modi also highlighted how this journey played a pivotal role in "shaping" him, and empower him to discover his "inner power."
Speaking at the podcast, PM Modi expressed his desire not to talk much about the journey in the Himalayas, but went on to share some “external aspects” of the holistic experience.
Reflecting on the profound impact the Himalayas had on him, PM Modi said, "It was a new experience, a world shaped by the mountains, by ice, by the towering snow-covered peaks,"
"But all of this played a huge role in shaping me. It strengthened me from within and enabled me to discover my inner power," he added, highlighting how this period of solitude and reflection in the majestic mountains contributed to his personal growth and resilience.
PM Modi said, "Practicing meditation, waking up in the sacred pre-dawn hours, bathing in the cold, serving people with devotion, and naturally tending to elderly saints, became a seamless part of who I was."
During his stay in the Himalayas, PM Modi spent time with various saints and spiritual masters, who played a crucial role in shaping his spiritual journey. "So these were the saints and spiritual masters with whom I stayed from time to time," he added.
PM Modi in podcast also spoke about his constant movement during these years, explaining that he never stayed in one place for long. "I kept moving, constantly wandering," he shared, highlighting the importance of this wandering phase in his personal and spiritual growth.
