Delhi Elections 2025: AAP Rejects Exit Polls Results For Underestimating its Performance

The people of Delhi want development just like there has been development in the rest of the country under PM Narendra Modi. The hard work put in by our party workers and the guidance and strategy of our leaders have reaped fruit. I don't believe in these exit polls, the number of our seats will rise further. BJP will cross the 50-seat mark..."

After voting concludes in #DelhiElection2025, Congress candidate from the New Delhi constituency, Sandeep Dikshit says," ...Today, we were in Ansari Nagar, near AIIMS, where we saw BJP workers distributing money. The Delhi High Court has observed the government's welfare department for SC, ST, OBC and minorities was taking steps to resolve the issue of payments to coaching institutes under the Jai Bhim Mukhyamantri Pratibha Vikas Yojna.

Justice Sachin Datta said each of the petitioner coaching institutes should be given a hearing by the special secretary of the department and a decision should be taken on release of their monetary entitlement after proper verification.

"It is hoped and expected that the DSCST shall take expeditious steps to resolve the grievances of the petitioners and to ensure that the object of the scheme is not undermined or frustrated," said the court.

The Election Commission of India has introduced a Queue Management System (QMS) app, which will enable voters to check crowd levels in real-time.

The Supreme Court collegium on Wednesday approved the proposal for appointment of five additional judges of the high courts of Madras and Telangana as permanent judges.

The collegium, headed by Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, held its meeting on Wednesday.

President Droupadi Murmu cast her vote for the Delhi Assembly polls on Wednesday.Murmu reached the polling booth at Dr Rajendra Prasad Kendriya Vidyalaya inside the President's Estate and cast her vote around 9 am.  

Talking to the reporters after casting her vote, she said, "It is the festival of democracy in Delhi today and I appeal to the voters of the national capital to come out in large numbers and exercise their democratic rights so that Delhi becomes a developed capital of the developed nation. You will see, only the lotus will bloom on 8th February..." 

Congress candidate from Kalkaji assembly seat Alka Lamba on Wednesday cast her vote at a polling station in Madipur. She urged the voters to come out in large numbers and cast their votes to bring change.

After casting her vote, Alka Lamba, who is also a Congress candidate from Kalkaji assembly seat Alka Lamba said, "The people of Delhi are excited because they want change and development. Congress candidate from the New Delhi assembly constituency, Sandeep Dikshit, on Wednesday cast his vote in the Delhi assembly Election in a polling booth in Jangpura.  

 Delhi is on high alert for the assembly polls on Wednesday with over 30,000 police personnel and 220 companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed  across the national capital for peaceful elections.

PM Modi will will reach prayagraj airport at 10:05 and take a holy dip in sangam from 11:00 to 11:30. 

"Voting for all the seats in the Delhi Assembly elections will be held today. I urge the voters here to participate in this festival of democracy with full enthusiasm and cast their valuable vote. Polling for 70 assembly seats began on Wednesday morning in Delhi, as voters cast their ballots for the 8th Assembly amid tight security. 

Voting commenced at 7.00 am and will continue till 6.00 pm, officials said. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj on February 5, as per a release.

Ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, officials conducted mock polling at various polling stations across the national capital on Wednesday morning. 

A paid holiday has been declared for employees in both government and private sectors in Delhi as polling for 70 assembly seats is set to take place on Wednesday, officials said.
