Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) will have the State Executive Committee meeting on 27 June and will be chaired by Telangana Chief Minister and party president K Chandrashekhar Rao. The meeting is scheduled to take place at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad at 2. 30 pm.

Members of the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, and the Assembly and Legislative Council members along with Corporation Chairpersons, elected Zilla Parishad Chairpersons of the TRS party have been offered invitations to attend the meeting.

In the Assembly polls in December 2018, TRS won an overwhelming majority of 91 seats out of 119 seats, keeping the BJP down to just one seat. However, the 2019 Lok Sabha polls saw BJP making inroads in the state as they won 4 seats, leaving TRS to pick up victories in 9 of the 17 seats. Despite KCR's assurances that his support to the NDA is just support based, the party is trying hard to increase membership and gain popularity in order to keep out the influence of the saffron party, as a part of preparations for the 2022 Assembly polls.

Membership enrollment books will be given to MLAs representing different constituencies. All the ministers, MPs, MLAs, and MLCs will take the party membership along with the Chief Minister himself.
