SHOCKING: Grand old Party Congress' Kerala unit expels member AP Abdullakutty after he praises PM Narendra Modi

In a shocking move by the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), a member of the party - AP Abdullakutty has been expelled from the grand old party on Monday for praising PM Narendra Modi.

In a shocking move by the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), a member of the party - AP Abdullakutty has been expelled from the grand old party on Monday for praising PM Narendra Modi.

Speaking to reporters, Abdullakutty has claimed that he is not an opportunist saying that this move while sad was expected from the KPCC president Mullapally Ramachandran.

Incidentally, Congress president Rahul Gandhi is the elected Lok Sabha representative of Wayanad in Kerala.

Earlier on Sunday, Congress leader and Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha MP, Shashi Tharoor, has said that it is up to to the new government to review its Pakistan policy adding that Pakistan was not invited to PM Modi's swearing-in ceremony while speaking to ANI in Trivandrum.

"Unfortunately, the relations between India and Pakistan is really in bad shape. With the new government hitting its stride, they must do a thorough review of their Pakistan policy. As you know, the Pakistani government was not invited to the swearing-in unlike in 2014," he said.

Opposition has been critical of Modi since the people's mandate was declared on May 23, awarding PM Modi another term in office.

Previously on Sunday, Swaraj India president Yogendra Yadav had stirred controversy by revealing the context under which he had insulted voters calling them idiots.
In the video marked by him, he is heard saying that in his own constituency - Gurugram when he lost he felt like holding voters by their collars saying 'you idiots' as he had warned them that 'PM Modi was the biggest liar in Indian history of politics'.   

"In my constituency Gurugram, I issued a special request to voters - Please defeat BJP at any cost. I said that this Prime Minister is the biggest liar we have had in the history of our country. Voters did not listen to me one bit. I am sad, angry and dejected. I want to hold them by the collars and say- you idiots," he said addressing a panel discussion by Centre for policy research.
