Karnataka High Court Bar Association (HCBA) President Vivek Reddy has called for the immediate withdrawal of all work assigned to Justice Yashwant Varma.

“We stand in solidarity with the advocates of Prayagraj, who have ceased work until the transfer order is revoked. If he is deemed unfit for Delhi, then he should not be given work anywhere in India,” Reddy stated.

The committee comprises of Chief Justices of two states and a High Court judge, namely, Punjab and Haryana High Court Chief Justice Sheel Nagu, Himachal Pradesh High Court Chief Justice GS Sandhawalia and Karnataka High Court judge Anu Sivaraman. 

A team of advocates arrived at Justice Yashwant Varma’s residence.

Advocate Stuti Gujral, who had visited last evening along with junior advocates, was present.

In connection with the Karnataka Bar Association President’s visit to Delhi, Republic sources confirm that Kapil Sibal has assured his help in arranging a meeting with the Chief Justice of India (CJI).

The Karnataka Bar Association had already written to the CJI’s office yesterday.
