Pune: In a gruesome incident, a 38-year-old man allegedly killed his 3-year-old son in a moment of anger, driven by doubts about his wife's “character”.
The accused has been identified as Madhav Tiketi, who is an IT Engineer.
Police said the accused had been unemployed for the past two months and had become increasingly frustrated due to suspicions regarding his wife’s alleged relationship with another man.

"After conducting an investigation, we apprehended the suspect at a lodge. It was discovered that, driven by suspicions about his wife’s character, he killed his own child. The father has been arrested, and the child's body has been recovered and sent to Sassoon Hospital for a post-mortem to aid in further investigation," said the police.

Accused Traced Through Mobile Location
The case was uncovered when the child's mother filed a missing person report at the Chandannagar police station. Police reviewed CCTV footage, which showed Madhav with his son at 2:30 pm on Thursday, but by 5:00 pm, he was seen alone, buying clothes.

By tracking his mobile location, authorities located Madhav at a lodge in Vadgaonsheri, where he was found intoxicated. After regaining consciousness, he admitted to the crime and guided the police to the scene, where the child's blood-covered body was discovered.
The accused was arrested following the proper legal procedure under BNS Sections 103 (1) and 238, in a case filed at the Chandannagar police station by Pune city police.
