Hyderabad: Several parts of Telangana will likely witness thunderstorms, lightning, hailstorms, and gusty winds until the morning of March 24, an official statement issued by India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
As per weather office, orange and yellow alerts for several districts in Telangana on Friday.
Telangana Chief Minister office has instructed state government and district officials to take necessary precautions to prevent any loss of life and property.
The orange alert is issued as a warning of extremely bad weather with the potential of disruption in commute with road and rail closures, and interruption of power supply.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday predicted light rain is in several areas of Rajasthan in the next 48 hours.
According to the weather office, light rain may occur in Bikaner, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions, accompanied by strong winds blowing at speeds of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.
On March 21, light rain and thunderstorms are likely in Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions, while the weather in most other parts of the state will remain mostly dry for the next four to five days. The highest maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 37.8 degrees Celsius in Barmer, an official statement issued by IMD said.
