Jaipur: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain in several parts of Rajasthan from Thursday, an official statement said.
The weather office said that Bikaner and Jaipur will likely witness spells of showers due to the effect of western disturbance.
Possibility of light rain predicted in Bikaner, Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions and Jaisalmer, Phalodi, Nagaur.
IMD said that some places in the northern parts of Jaipur will also receive rain on March 16.
The weather office said that maximum temperature in Rajasthan may fall by 2 to 3 degrees in the next 48 hours.
Meanwhile in North Eastern states, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh , Assam , Meghalaya , and Tripura.
Moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds has been predicted in Kerala , Mahe and Karnataka.
Meanwhile, IMD has predicted that the effects of the Western Disturbance will persist over North India until March 15.
The weather office said that temperatures are expected to rise again after March 16.
IMD said that a cyclonic circulation originating from the Mediterranean Sea is impacting India's weather patterns.
