Renukaswamy Murder Case: Amid the ongoing Renukaswamy murder investigation, Republic TV has accessed a new remand copy that revealed chilling details of the criminal conspiracy.
The new remand copy exposes a meticulously planned effort to dispose of the body and destroy evidence, orchestrated by actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and two other accused - Vinay and Pradosh. According to the document, Darshan was exceptionally cautious to ensure his name did not surface in connection with the murder case, planning every stage carefully.
In an alarming revelation, Darshan had arranged more than Rs 70 lakh to implement the whole murder plan. The strategy included disposing of the body, erasing all evidence, and preventing any testimony against him. Vinay and Pradosh played significant roles in the conspiracy, covering up the case by paying money to keep Darshan's name out of the investigation.
The remand copy also indicates that Darshan's team offered bribes to witnesses and exerted power to silence them. This conspiracy highlights the extreme measures to which the accused went to hinder the investigation in the Renukaswamy murder case.
It has also been revealed that the accused made multiple attempts to dispose Renukaswamy's body in a secluded spot. The new details that surfaced suggest that despite their careful planning, the accused were confused about where to dump the body.
As per sources, the accused drove around the Sumanahalli bridge multiple times in their cars, unable to decide on a suitable location. They even conducted a recce to see if the body could be disposed of elsewhere. Eventually, they decided to dump the body in the storm water drain near Sumanahalli bridge due to limited options.
Their attempt to hide the evidence was thwarted when Renukaswamy's body was spotted on June 9. This discovery led to the swift arrest of the accused, unraveling their poorly executed plan to evade justice.
Renukaswamy, a fan of Darshan, was abducted and brutally killed by a gang allegedly at the actor's behest, after he purportedly sent offensive messages on social media to Pavithra Gowda, rumoured to be Darshan's partner. The 33-year-old auto driver's body was found near a Bengaluru flyover on June 9th.
Police have arrested 17 people including Darshan and his actress friend Pavithra Gowda. Renukaswamy, the man allegedly tortured and killed by popular Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa died of shock and haemorrhage, his autopsy report had revealed.
Earlier officials probing the case had revealed chilling details that Renukaswamy was allegedly beaten up with a belt, and sticks and then thrown against a wall resulting in his death.
