'Thumka Lagao or Get Suspended': Tej Pratap to Cop, RJD Leader's High Handedness Caught on Camera | WATCH

Patna: In a brazen display of abuse of power, Lalu Prasad Yadav 's son Tej Pratap was seen threatening an on duty police official to dance on a song else he would be suspended. The incident took place during Holi celebrations at his residence in Patna on March 14.

Tej Pratap Yadav's disgraceful act, that was caught on camera and has now gone viral on social media, showed him directing the cop in an authoritative manner saying, “Ae sipahi, ae Deepak, ek gaana bajayenge uspe tumko thumka lagana hai, theek hai, bura mat mano Holi hai. Aaj nahi thumka lagaoge toh suspend kardiye jaoge. (Hey soldier, hey Deepak, we will play a song and you have to dance to it, okay, don't mind, it's Holi. If you don't dance today, you will be suspended).”

After threatening the on duty cop, Tej Pratap Yadav himself sung a song and made the policeman dance to it as others kept serving to RJD leader's orders. The poor cop had no options left but to comply with the instructions.

The viral video further showed Tej Pratap Yadav sitting on a two-seater sofa and accompanied by another person who was wearing a tore waist shirt. As the RJD leader instructed the cop to perform the dance, there were other people at the venue who were seen coming and touching Tej Pratap's feet and also of the man who accompanied him.

The entire episode once again exposed the mindset of RJD leaders who during its rule in Bihar made a mockery of law and order and reminded people of the ‘Jungle Raj’ era in the state. The incident further unmasked Opposition's mentality and their respect towards police force who treat them as workers and servants.    

During the celebrations, Tej Pratap Yadav was also seen boosting confidence of the party workers saying, “Celebrate Holi in a peaceful manner. It has been decided that Tejashwi ji is going to be the CM this time."

‘First father, now son making law dance in Bihar,’ Says Shehzad Poonawalla

BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla while reacting to the video of a police personnel complying to RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav's instructions to dance during Holi celebration at his residence in Patna said, “Like father, like son. First, the father - as the then CM used to make law dance to his tunes and turn Bihar into a jungle raj. Now, the son, despite being out of power, attempts to make laws and protectors of law dance to his tunes through threats and pressure."

Further lashing out at RJD with ‘jungle raj’ dig, Poonawalla said that Tej Pratap threatened police personnel with suspension if he doesn't dance. This shows that RJD believes in jungle raj. If they come to power even by mistake, they would violate law and make protectors of law dance. This is a trailer. So, it is important to keep them away from power.

Assembly elections are set to take place in Bihar later this year.
