According to officials, the snowfall disrupted rail, air, and road connectivity, leaving several key routes blocked. The Srinagar-Jammu national highway witnessed landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones, affecting traffic movement.
While plains received heavy rainfall, higher-altitude tourist spots like Gulmarg, Sonamarg, and Pahalgam were covered under a thick layer of snow. Srinagar experienced light snowfall.
"The weather is likely to improve from Friday afternoon," the weather office stated.
