Morena (MP): A shocking video has surfaced, showing a 53-year-old electrician, Harendra Maurya, being beaten by his daughters while his wife held him down, days before he was found hanging at his home in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena. The viral clip has sparked outrage on social media, leading police to investigate whether his death was a suicide or murder.

A social media user named Raw and Real Man SIFF shared a video that has sparked widespread discussion online. In the video, the daughter of an ailing man can be heard speaking, prompting the user to comment, “It's clear from what the 'perpetrator daughter' is saying that the women in the family are angry at the sick man because they have to take care of him.”

Family Dispute and Mysterious Death

Maurya, a father of three daughters and a son, had been embroiled in frequent quarrels with his wife and family members, according to neighbours and relatives.

On March 1, he married off his two daughters, but tensions reportedly escalated soon after. His wife allegedly demanded separation, stating she would return to her father’s house.

Viral Video Sparks Public Outrage

Amid the ongoing probe, a disturbing video believed to be from February 1, went viral on social media. The clip shows Maurya’s wife restraining his legs while his two daughters brutally beat him with sticks.

Maurya is seen screaming in pain while his younger son tries to intervene. However, one of his daughters threatens to hit him too, forcing him to step back. When Maurya attempts to escape, his wife grabs him again, allowing the assault to continue.

The video triggered widespread outrage, with social media users demanding justice for Maurya.

Police Assure Fair Investigation

"We have received information that a man has committed suicide. Preliminary investigations point to a family dispute. We have sent the body for autopsy," she said.

She further added, "We will investigate all the facts that have come to light. The postmortem report will confirm the cause of death. The police have also taken cognisance of the viral video."

The police investigation is ongoing, and authorities have assured that necessary action will be taken based on the findings.
