Gujarat: A shocking incident surfaced at Munjiasar Primary School in Gujarat's Amreli, where more than 25 students from fifth to eighth grade were found with deep blade marks on their hands. The incident, which allegedly occurred during a game of ‘Truth and Dare’, caused panic among parents, teachers, and local authorities.
The disturbing incident came to light when parents noticed injuries on their children's hands. Upon questioning, the students revealed that they had inflicted the cuts on themselves as part of a challenge in the game.
As concerns grew, parents approached the school administration for answers. However, dissatisfied with the school’s response, they lodged a complaint with the Gram Panchayat and sought police intervention.
Following the complaint, Dhari’s Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Jayveer Gadhvi personally visited the school to investigate. CCTV footage was reviewed, and police officials interacted with the children to understand the incident.
ASP Gadhvi said, "The incident is not linked to any online video game addiction. It happened during an in-person game played among students."
Parents have demanded stricter supervision in schools to prevent such incidents in the future.
Meanwhile, the school administration has been asked to submit a detailed report, and counseling sessions for affected students have been initiated.
