Mumbai: Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray addressed the controversy surrounding Disha Salian's death case, stating that he had anticipated the issue would be raised but dismissed the allegations against his son Aaditya.

On Wednesday, Disha's father, Satish Salian, in an exclusive interview with Republic Media Network, alleged that his daughter was murdered and did not commit suicide. Satish Salian has filed a petition in the Bombay High Court, requesting a fresh investigation into the circumstances surrounding his daughter's death and a probe into the alleged involvement of Aaditya Thackeray.

In his first response after Satish Salian's claims, Uddhav Thackeray expressed surprise that Disha Salian's case had not been raised until now. He added that the case is currently before the court and maintained that there is no truth to the allegations. He said that if there are any evidences, they should be submitted to the court.

In fact, Uddhav Thackeray questioned why this issue was not raised earlier, especially since the Assembly Budget session has already begun, highlighting the delay. He stated that if allegations have been made and the party has evidence then we will fight it in the court.

Uddhav Thackeray also remarked that the allegations could boomerang on those who are making them. The former chief minister made these comments while responding to pointed questions regarding the alleged involvement of his son in Disha Salian's death case.

Satish Salian makes big claim, says his daughter was murdered

On Wednesday, Satish Salian, father of Disha Salian, who was the former manager of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, claimed that his daughter didn’t commit suicide and that it was a murder, pointing out that there were no injury marks on her body as one would have had after falling from a high rise building.

Satish Salian said when Disha died, his mind was manipulated in such a way that he believed everything that the police and officials told him.

However, later Satish Salian released that the police was lying and fabricated a story that his daughter had jumped off from the building.

Nilesh Ojha, advocate and petitioner in this case, told Republic Media Network that his (Satish Salian) affidavit mentioned he was in a physcolgocnal virtual custody to Rohan Roi (Disha's fiancé) and Aaditya Thackeray’s associates. The then Mumbai mayor Kishori Pednekar had also visited his (Satish) house and pressurised him to file a complaint against Nitesh Rane and Narayan Rane.

Satish Salian also claimed that his daughter and actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s deaths were linked and sought a  fresh investigation in this matter.
