Union Home Secretary to Hold Two High-Level Security Review Meetings In Jammu On Sunday

Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan will chair two high-level meetings in Jammu on Sunday to assess the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

The first meeting, scheduled for the morning, will see the participation of key officials, including Director General of BSF, J&K DGP Nalin Prabhat, IG Jammu Zone Bhim Sen Tuti, and IG Kashmir VK Birdi, among other top brass of the security establishment. The discussions will focus on the prevailing security scenario, counter-terror operations, and the preparedness of security forces in the region.

In the afternoon, Govind Mohan will chair a second meeting with senior officials from intelligence agencies. This meeting is expected to delve into intelligence inputs, emerging threats, and strategies to strengthen counter-insurgency and anti-infiltration measures.

The back-to-back meetings come at a time when security concerns remain a top priority in the Union Territory, especially in the wake of recent developments along the border and within the hinterland.
