New Delhi: A shocking video has emerged showing a pile of burnt currency notes at the residence of Justice Yashwant Varma, a judge of the Delhi High Court. The video, which has gone viral on social media, has sparked a massive investigation into the source of the burnt currency notes and the circumstances surrounding the incident.

According to reports, the Supreme Court has released a probe report on the cash recovery incident at Delhi High Court judge Yashwant Varma's residence, revealing a complex web of allegations and denials. The report includes a letter from Delhi High Court Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya, who has urged the Chief Justice of India (CJI) to initiate a detailed investigation, citing findings from the Delhi Police Commissioner.

At the centre of the controversy is a massive amount of unaccounted cash found at Justice Varma's residence, with visuals showing piles of charred cash after firefighters extinguished the flames. However, Justice Varma has denied any wrongdoing, calling the allegations a "conspiracy to frame and malign" him. He claims that the room where the cash was found was accessible to everyone, including his workers.

The probe report stresses the contradictions between Justice Varma's account and the findings of the Delhi Police Commissioner. The Commissioner's report states that the debris and partially burnt articles were removed from the room where the fire broke out, but Justice Varma claims he was unaware of any cash or fire.

The Supreme Court has commenced an in-house probe into the incident, and the Chief Justice of India has decided to make the probe report public. As the investigation unfolds, the judiciary is under scrutiny, with many calling for greater transparency and accountability.
