In the video, Saweety Boora can be seen striking her husband, Deepak Hooda, a former captain of the Indian Kabaddi team, while police officers stand nearby.

This footage surfaced shortly after Saweety accused Hisar police of not taking action against her husband in a dowry case she filed in February.

Saweety's Allegations Against Deepak Hooda

Speaking to the media, Saweety claimed that despite filing a dowry complaint with Hisar Superintendent of Police Shashank Kumar Sawan, no action has been taken against Hooda in the last 45 days.

Instead, she alleges that the police tried to turn the tables by registering a false complaint against her, her father Mahender Singh, and her maternal uncle Satyawan for allegedly misbehaving and injuring Hooda.

"The accused is roaming freely, and the SP has failed to act against him," Saweety said. She added that she had met Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini seeking a divorce from Hooda without any alimony.

Saweety also revealed that she had attempted suicide in 2022 due to alleged harassment by Hooda. According to her, just four days before their wedding, Hooda demanded a Mercedes worth ₹2.5 crore, and her father had to take a loan to buy a Fortuner instead.

She further accused Hooda of mistreating her multiple times despite apologizing during several social gatherings organized for reconciliation.

Response from Hisar Police

Hisar SP Shashank Kumar Sawan has refuted Saweety's claims, stating that both parties have joined the investigation and that no arrests can be made until the probe is completed. He dismissed the claim that Saweety is out on bail.

"We are investigating the matter thoroughly. There are no grounds for arresting anyone at this stage," SP Sawan said.

Deepak Niwas Hooda has not responded to the allegations or the viral video.
