Patna: As part of its outreach initiative to minority communities, the Bharatiya Janata Party has announced plans to distribute 'Saugat-e-Modi' kits to underprivileged Muslims ahead of the upcoming Eid Festival.
The initiative by the BJP's Minority Morcha began in Mumbai, where 'Saugat-e-Modi' kits were distributed to 200 underprivileged individuals in Navi Mumbai. A similar program was also launched in New Delhi.
The 'Saugat-e-Modi' kit contains dry fruits, besan (gram flour), suji (semolina), sewai (vermicelli), and sugar. In addition to the food items, the women's kits include fabric for suits, while the men's kits contain kurta-pyjamas.
The 'Saugat-e-Modi' campaign, launched by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), aims to promote welfare schemes within the Muslim community while garnering political support for the BJP and the NDA.
Jamal Siddiqui, National President of the BJP Minority Morcha, shared the broader vision of the campaign, highlighting that during the holy month of Ramadan and upcoming events such as Eid, Good Friday, Easter, Nauruz, and the Indian New Year, the Minority Front will support those in need through the "Saugat-e-Modi" initiative.
He also mentioned that Eid Milan celebrations will be organized at the district level.
