Mumbai: A photo of Infosys founder NR Narayana Murthy touching the feet of the late Ratan Tata went viral following the industrialist and philanthropist's passing due to age-related illness in Mumbai on Wednesday. 

The iconic businessmen were on stage at the annual TiECon event in Mumbai when the Infosys mentor bent down to touch Ratan Tata's feet after presenting him with an award.

Ratan Tata was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 11th edition of TiECon Mumbai.

Ratan Tata, the chairman emeritus of the Tata Group, died on Wednesday, October 9, at the age of 86 after a long illness. The renowned philanthropist had been hospitalized due to age-related health issues and passed away at Breach Candy Hospital in south Mumbai. Tata Sons chairman N. Chandrasekaran confirmed the news late in the evening.
