Woman With Help Of Boyfriend Murders Jilted Lover In Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad: In Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad, a woman stabbed and killed her “jilted lover” with the help of her boyfriend in the Maharajpur area on Friday. The Ghaziabad police confirmed the incident saying that the woman and her boyfriend were arrested after the murder and the body was sent for postmortem. The accused woman confessed to the killing disclosing that she killed the man for stalking her. 

The deceased was identified as 21-year-old Nitish Sharma, who was found dead lying in a pool of blood late Friday. The deceased's father, Kishore Sharma, alleged in his police complaint that his son was killed by Rani (20) and her accomplice Raju Thapa (22). The duo allegedly stabbed the victim in the chest leading to his death. 

ACP Sahibabad Rajneesh Upadhyay said that accused Rani and Thapa, who is in a relationship, have confessed to the murder, claiming that Rani had spurned Nitish's advances so he began stalking her. 

"He used to intercept me on the road on several occasions. I wanted to marry Thapa that is why we eliminated him," Rani told the police.

A case has been registered against the duo under section 103 (1) (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), police said.

The body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem examination, Upadhyay added.
