Aravind Adiga is a Man Booker Prize-winning writer. The author hails from Chennai and he grew up up in Mangalore city. He pursued his education at Columbia University in New York and Magdalen College at Oxford. He also wrote articles that were published in multiple leading newspapers. The White Tiger

The White Tiger is Aravind Adiga’s debut novel, which was published in 2008. The book is an epistolary novel,that is a novel completely written in the form of letters. The story speaks of Balram Halwai who was born in the darkness of India and is completely in awe of the capitalist style of living. The book deals with the themes of servant-owner relationships, the dark realities of the Indian class system, and revenge. The book won a Man Booker Prize in 2008.

Between the Assassinations

This 2008 collection of short stories is set in a village on the southwestern coast of India called Kittur. It traces the various residents of the village. Adiga’s favourite themes of class struggle along with the iconoclasm are all parts of the collection. The book is proof of Aravind’s capability to show the beauty of village life in India perfectly blended with its ugly truths.

Last Man in Tower

Aravind Adiga came up with Last Man in Tower three years after his first novel. The book was released on September 2011. The novel is a blunt satire on the living conditions of the city residents. One man refuses to move from his house for property development. Yogesh Murthi’s memories for his deceased wife stop him from leaving his house.

Selection Day

The novel Selection Day traces the journey of Manju, an excellent cricket player. Manju is pressurized by his elder brother Radha and domineering father. Radha’s rival becomes instrumental in changing Manju’s life. The book was adapted as a Netflix show starring Mahesh Manjrekar, Mohammad Samad, and Ratna Pathak Shah.

Adiga's next novel: 

Aravind Adiga’s next novel is Amnesty, which is about an illegal immigrant in Sydney, Australia. Netflix has also announced the adaptation of The White Tiger to a movie. The movie will star Rajkummar Rao and Priyanka Chopra.
